When preparing your home to sell it is important to take several steps to getting your home sold. It take hard work and dedication when preparing your home.

Five Tips to prepare your home

STEP 1 Cleaning

Your home need to be cleaned almost to perfection. You may want to consider having a professional cleaner come to the home. Things to consider cleaning would be the ceiling fans, any cobwebs in the home, light fixtures, refrigerator, oven, straighten the bedroom closets, dust all furniture, wash the baseboards, and have the carpets professionally cleaned. The home need to be kept professionally cleaned while the home is on the market. Everyday ensure the beds are made, dishes are put up, kids rooms are cleaned and toys stored.

STEP 2 – Clutter

Consider eliminating as much clutter as possible. We suggest having a Yard sale for items you no longer use. Set up a pile by importance such as New, Never Used and Older than 10 year, Rule of thumb if you haven't used these items in over 10 years it may be time to put in the yard sale. Sometimes we have too many things, and that can be a distraction to potential Buyers. Put away all your personal items and collection, which can allow the potential buyer to see themselves living in the home.

STEP 3 – Staging

Rearranging furniture can help the home sell faster. Repainting walls to a neutral color. Updating fixtures, adding fluffy towels in the bathroom. You can consider having home professionally staged to help home become more appealing. Simple steps can help improve your home.

STEP 4 – Repairs

Its time to fix items that have been neglected for months, such as repainting walls, replacing light bulbs, replace broken toilet seats, loose gutters, and leaky faucets. Good idea to hire a handyman to complete all these items. Completing small items let the buyers know the home has been well maintained.

STEP 5 – Inspection

Have a pre inspection so you are aware of any issues before listing your home on the market. This allows you identify any issues with the home that buyers have any objections. Having this information is an advantage and allows you to have information on items that needs to be repaired.
